Today was a beautiful day, so we went for a nice walk along the lake with Gran & Grampa.We passed a fenced in playground with a small beach, the ultimate Lily-park, so we stayed there while Gran & Grampa walked a little farther and then came back and joined us.

Today was a wonderful day. We relaxed in the morning, ...then got some serious giggles when Gran brought out some goofy sunglasses and a funny hat...

We packed up and went to the beach, and Gran and Grampa came, too! Then Gran and Grampa put together a FABULOUS bbq of hamburgers with all the fixings, potato salad, chips, and so much more. :)
After that Tatus and Lily opened Tatus' presents--he received a kite from Lily and Lukasz, a date to a comedy club and the game Mastermind from me, chocolates, coffee, a tea bag holder, and a book of all kinds of coffee recipes, tips and tricks from Uncle Shane, Gran & Grampa.
And then it was time for... cake! A delicious chocolate cake with rich chocolate icing that I and (mostly) Gran made the night before.
Then, all too soon it was time to drive home again. But we'll be back out there on the August long weekend, to celebrate Lily's 2nd birthday!
This morning we got ready to go to the beach, which was a big undertaking, getting everyone fed, burped, changed, and coated with sunscreen. Uncle Shane found us a great beach near where Gran & Grampa live. There are two huge weeping willows on one side of it, and we got there early enough to set up right at the base of one of them--shade all day long! Perfect for Lukasz, who slept the entire time we were there! Lily's favourite game: copy cat. She poses, and we copy her. She LOVES it!

Tatus and Lily went for a walk out to the point, I absolutely LOVE how this photo turned out: We are so lucky that Gran & Grampa (and Uncle Shane) live somewhere so beautiful and close enough that we can visit them on a regular basis. It's a mini-vacation every time we are there!
