Tic Toc - Lily's newest piano song

Lily is learning bridges in her piano class now... I'm continually astounded at how quickly she picks up all the new material.

I'm amazed at how far she has come - here she is learning to play a modified version of Mary Had a Little Lamb (the 2-finger notes are supposed to be the sheep going Baa! At the end of the video you can see the music she is reading completely independently.

Lily plays her first song on the keyboard

A very proud day, for all of us!


This afternoon Lily amazed us by playing her first song on the piano without any guidance from us. Usually we point to the notes so she can follow along, but this time she read the notes (which had the note letters next to the note) and played a 2 line song perfectly! It's a simplified version of "The Work Song" from the movie Cinderella.

This video is of the second time she played it. She went on to play it 10 or so more times for us. Each time, she got such a kick out of seeing how proud we were and how much we were cheering for her.

She played C, D, E, E, E, E, E, C, C, C, C, A, A, A, C, A ,A, A, A, G, A, B, C.

We are SO VERY PROUD of how well she has done in her first year of keyboarding.
