As of last week, Wednesday is Lily's favourite day of the school week. She has choir before school at 8 a.m. And then lyrical dance at 3:30 after school, followed by jazz and tap. That's a 10 hour day for her including school and she LOVES it. I had to nudge her a bit to join the choir, and she's one of only three third graders in the choir; the rest are 4th and 5th graders. Fortunately she knows the other two third graders, and that helped her overcome her initial shyness.
And watching her doing the simplest lyrical moves is so amazing. She follows her arm movements with her eyes as she does a warm up move, and really seems to flow with the music. The owner of the dance studio has said to me that she has "it". As long as she's having fun and is happy, I'm happy.
