This week Lily has started to report to me when Lukasz is doing something she figures is worth telling me. Like when he crawls over to her and grabs her. She comes running to me and says "Lukasz hit me!" I tell her he did it by accident and just wants to play with her. Then I tell Lukasz "Don't hit Lily." I know he didn't really hit her, but I figure if she feels like he hit her, then showing some immediate discipline to him is the right thing to do. Maybe it'll help her understand when she gets the same discipline.
Today she came to the kitchen as I was cleaning up and said "He got the pen". I knew right away that she meant her Magna Doodle toy pen (the magnetic kind), so I told Lukasz "ta ta", took it from him and then found him something else to play with. I'm trying to teach Lily to gently take things from him that are too small (like that pen) because no matter how many tens of times I pick up toys throughout the day, something small always ends up on the floor. I've told Lily that there are things he can't play with because he'll eat them. And she's already started copying me with keeping certain little toys out of his reach saying "he eat dem".
