Dear Lily
What a couple of months it has been for us! The days and weeks are just flying by...
You are still not too keen on sitting on your potty. I tried putting you in cloth diapers so you'd feel wet, but you didn't seem to mind, so now when we are home I'm letting you run around with no diaper on at all. You've had a few accidents on the floor so far, but I'm hoping you'll get the idea to run to your potty eventually.
In September you were having quite a few spazes or meltdowns... and a change of schedule really seemed to help with that. With the rainy weather coming it may be more difficult to keep it up (how many times can we go to the mall in a week, really), but I'm hoping to find more and more kid-friendly activities to take the two of you to. For now what works well is to go out right after we've all gotten up and eaten and stay out for a couple of hours then come home and sometimes you both nap, then after naps we have lunch or a snack and then we go out somewhere else. Then we come home and I prepare dinner and we hang out until Tatus gets home.
One of your favourite activities when we are at the park is to make "plops". That is, throwing pebbles into the water. You have quite an arm! You were throwing the rocks underhand and then I showed you how to bring your arm back and then throw the rock. I was amazed how far you can throw!
Lukasz is getting more and more active each day, and is awake for more time each day. He's closer and closer to being a real playmate for you, and I think you are getting used to the idea of that. You often give Lukasz toys to play with, although once you did toss him a rattle and beaned him right in the head with it. He wasn't impressed but I know you meant well.
oct 1: interacted with a girl named emma rose at the park. she is a take charge kind of girl, but you were talking to her, telling her a rocking toy was fun and she got on it then you went to the slides together, she made you a meal of barkdust and a stick/fork and you ate together.
you love the beach
out of sorts if you don't get your tatus time the second he comes through the door. if he has to tend to lukasz because i'm making dinner, you get pretty upset. but being "selfish" in that way is apparently normal toddler behaviour, so i'm doing my best to have things well in hand when tatus gets home so you can run down the hall to him and have that special time.
"oh yeah. right. I see."
"i did it myself" "see tatus. look"
