Lily, you are 2 now, so I expected some possessiveness when it came to your toys and crayons. Sure enough, you somehow figured out how to say "mine, not yours", although it sounds more like "mine yours" when you say it. :)
When Tatus was growing up, the toys that he and Wujek Daniel had were theirs. They shared almost everything, although I remember hearing that Babcia did make them little treasure chests where they could hide things of their own.
Now, there are some things that are yours, like your babies and your Madeline doll and certain books that I hope will always be special to you. And there are certain things that are Lukasz's, like the stuffed animals in his bed and his bouncy chair. It's cute to see you cuddle Lukasz's bear or his lion, because you inevitably put them right back in his bed when you are done.
For the most part when it comes to toys (like the building blocks and the cars and the little toy piano and the shape sorter) I'm hoping that you accept that some of them are going to be both yours and Lukasz's. They are toys that are really much more fun if they are shared.
So you were playing this afternoon in the living room among an avalanche of toys, and Lukasz was watching you play as he sat in his Bumbo. His toys were all out of his reach, so I asked you to give him some toys. To my surprise, you started sharing your blocks with him!
He was pretty pleased with that, and so was I!
You are such a wonderful big sister!
