A lot of garbage and recycling trucks drive by our apartment. When Lily was younger, she was fascinated by them, then she started being afraid of the noise and whenever one went by, she ran to me to be picked up. Now, I'm happy to say, she's back to being fascinated by them. When the garbage and recycling trucks stop at our building, we can see them from Lily's window. So, every Wednesday we watch the recycling truck pick up the recycling, and on Thursday, the garbage truck comes. Lily never fails to hear it and often grabs my hand and pulls me down the hall to her window so I can lift her up and we can watch together.
