Hallowe'en preview

So we were in Value Village today and you and I went for a little walk around the plaza as we waited for Tatus and Lukasz to pay for what we'd bought. As we were walking along, we went by the window display where they had all sorts of Hallowe'en costumes hanging. You were entranced by them all. Then we saw a ladybug one... ladybugs are one of your favourite "animals" these days, ever since we helped one move from the barkdust in the playground to a nearby bush. We went back inside to see if they had the costume in your size and they did! I bought the 2-3 year old size, so it's a bit big, but I'm sure we can alter it easily.

When we got home I had to try it on you. I thought you might put up a fuss, especially about the little feeler headband, but you didn't. You paraded around happily in it.

Last year we just carved pumpkins, but this year we're going to do a little more. We still haven't decided exactly what we are going to do--go trick or treating, go to a Hallowe'en party, or go to a kid-friendly haunted house--but for sure it will be something fun!
