Today we all went to the petting zoo in Queens Park. Lily knows the names of lots of animals from her books, but she's never seen any of them in real life. It was awesome to see her walk into the little zoo and right away go "chicken! pig! bunny!". :)
The peacock with the most impressive tail was being uncharacteristically shy:

Lily spent most of the time in my arms; she wasn't too keen on walking around amid the animals. But she did enjoy watching them.

We went to Queen's park with Elayne a few months ago and thought it was wonderful. We'll definintely have to go again, now that you reminded me of it!
