New friends

Lily and I have made 2 wonderful new friends: Amelia and her son, Sam. We met over a month ago, in the sandbox at the park. Sam tried to feed Lily a pine cone. :) We'd see each other here and there in the weeks that followed, and then one day I saw them after we'd returned from a week in Kelowna, and Amelia asked me if we'd like to come along with them to local play groups that take place in the morning at different locations. From previous conversations she knew I didn't have a car during the day, so we put Lily and Lukasz's car seats in her car, and then she drove the 5 of us to different play groups and activities.

Since then we see each other at the park now and then, and we also have had a few play dates at their house. Sam's a bit younger than Lily, but he's so friendly, outgoing and energetic that I think he's really helping Lily come out of her shell--these days she's SO shy around other kids. Having a friend that she sees regularly and is getting used to playing with is doing her a world of good.

And I have to say I really enjoy every time we all get together. Sam's a sweetheart, and he gives me an idea of what to prepare for once Lukasz gets mobile. :) It turns out Amelia and I have a lot in common, and it's so easy to talk with her about anything and everything. :)

Amelia has her own little company, Wonderlamb. She makes adorable stuffed animals and last week we did a little photo shoot with them, so please peruse her gallery to see the great shots we got!

They are adorable, soft, colourful animals... I'm tempted to get one for myself! :)
