Our little (and often hilarious) chatterbox

Now that Lily is three, she speaks pretty fluent English, it's rare to hear mispronunciations, or maybe that's because I listen to her chattering all day. :)

Either way, there are some words that she still has her own little way of saying that reminds me that she still is (and really, always will be) my baby girl.

Yesterday she asked for more milk with her cereal, but she pronounces milk "meewk". I asked her if she could say "MILk" and she said, "MEEWK", over pronouncing just like I did. I asked her to say "Lily" because she says the Ls perfectly then. She said, "Lily", then I said now say, "MiLk" and she said "MEEWK". Reminded me of this video clip.

Here are some others of hers:
"Can I": Tan to
Teething tablets: Teebling tablets
Three years old: Fwee years old
Toothbrush: Tooshbush (with the U like in bus)
Melon: Lemon (no matter how many times I correct her, it's always lemon. oh well. :)

Last night we were grocery shopping and I was in the cleaning products aisle with Lily. From all the stuff at her level, she spotted Mr. Clean. I'd bought something of that brand last time, and she had asked who it was, so I said, "Mr. Clean". Well, last night, she ran over to the box, pointed, and said, "That's Mr. Cleaner. I love Mr. Cleaner." Oh boy.

Then today we were out for a walk looking at the late-blooming flowers, and she said, "I love flowers. Flowers are for making honey." Smart girl!

I love this stage; there's no telling what will come out of her mouth!
