Me and Lily this morning:The other moms and I weren't even allowed in the building. Lily's teacher, Mrs. Rachel, gave each kid a welcome and then took them through the door and told them the other teacher would help them get their boots and coats of and get them settled. I told Lily to have a lot of fun and that I'd see her soon... and she was gone.

It's a bittersweet time, for sure. The days of having her with me all day every day are officially over. But I think she is going to have a lot of fun. She didn't seem nervous or worried about it at all this morning when I was telling her she is going to go to school and have a lot of fun. She seemed pretty matter-of-fact about it all. I hope she's doing all right... all the other kids that were there were brand new students as well, I hope they are ALL getting busy and having fun.
Lily just before leaving for her first day:
I'm missing her so much right now. At least during the first two weeks the classes are an introductory length; only an hour and a half today and Friday... 55 more minutes until I see her again.
I'm so proud of you, my Lily Pilly, walking in there like the big girl you are... I can't wait to hear how your first day was!
Endless love,
Mommy
